Frequently Asked Questions:
How much are house calls going to cost?
We accept Medicare as you PRIMARY INSURANCE. Medicare Part B covers 80% of the cost of house calls; your annual deductible still applies. Your Medi-gap usually pays the additional 20%, as long as it is registered with Medicare. We do not accept Medicare HMO Plans.

What if I don’t have insurance or my insurance doesn’t cover house calls?
Please check the PRICING section for house call fees. We accept cash or checks. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards at this time.

I know some people pay a lot of money for this kind of care, and you do it for no extra charge? What’s the fine print?
We do not provide a 24-hour, 7-day a week service. We are available to make house calls during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, and can attend to urgent needs quickly and appropriately. Please keep in mind that although the office may be closed after-hours, we have a physician monitoring the voice-mail for urgent needs and can often address these matters by phone. Our practice model is designed to treat urgent needs before they become emergencies, and it works.

What if there is an emergency?
We cannot bring the hospital or emergency room to you. If there is an emergency or you require hospitalization, you must utilize the emergency medical system. Your first call should be 911. Your second call should be to us. We can provide your current records to the hospital physicians to ensure the best care while you are at the hospital. Likewise, we will obtain your records from the hospital and see you soon after you return home.

How often will I be seen? What if I need an urgent appointment?
We prevent many urgent needs by seeing patients on a monthly basis, but it depends on your health. Whether you need us the next day or in 6 months, we will be there. We can usually get to your home for urgent needs the same day or early the next day.

OK, I’m ready to try this out. Are there any obligations?
None. You are in charge of your health care. You decide whether you want us to provide care just when you are sick or to see you on a regular basis. If you decide at any time to stop our service, just let us know. Again, this practice is designed to answer your needs.
